It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the appointment of Mr. Sylvain Boyer as General Manager of Uniag Cooperative and Sollio & Uniag Agriculture Cooperative.
Mr. Sylvain Boyer will officially take office on August 20, 2022, the day of our Summer Party in Ormstown.
Originally from Vaudreuil-Dorion, he grew up on a family dairy farm (which became Ferme Vaudal in 1991). He and his family were awarded the title of Farm Family of the Year by the Farm Family Foundation in 2019.
Professional background
Initially a consultant in crop and animal production at La Coop Excel, Unicoop and La Coop Seigneurie, he quickly climbed the ladder to the position of Senior Director for the ruminant department at Sollio Agriculture (formerly La Coop Fédérée), where he worked for nearly 15 years. After accumulating 25 years of experience in our cooperative network, Mr. Boyer joined the Centre d’insémination artificielle du Québec (CIAQ) as Director of Producer Services and then as Director of Network and Partnerships for the past eight years.
“Both Boards of Directors are delighted with the arrival of Sylvain Boyer as General Manager of Uniag Cooperative and the regional partnership with Sollio Agriculture. We believe that his dynamism, his ability to build relationships and his developmental temperament will fit in perfectly with the objectives we have set for the coming years. With the addition of Sylvain to the quality of the employees and directors of the management team already in place, the future of our cooperative promises to be very bright,” says Sylvain Brault, President of Uniag Cooperative and Sollio & Uniag Agriculture Cooperative.
As a resident of Rigaud, in the heart of Uniag’s territory, Mr. Boyer already feels a strong sense of belonging to the cooperative. “For me, it feels like a return to my roots,” he says.
On behalf of the entire team, the boards of directors of Uniag Cooperative and Sollio & Uniag Agriculture Cooperative wish him a warm welcome to our beautiful cooperative!
