True to tradition, Uniag Cooperative is proud to organize ice hockey games for its members. This year was no different, with some 70 enthusiasts putting on their skates for friendly games at the Napierville Arena in Napierville, QC (January 21), the Sainte-Martine Arena in Sainte-Martine, QC (January 31) and the St-Isidore Sports Complex in St-Isidore, ON (February 21).

In Napierville, the teams faced off at the Centre sportif Lareau for a game that saw 21 players engage passionately on the ice, demonstrating a remarkable level of competitiveness. Each player gave their all, and this definitely contributed to creating an enjoyable experience for all participants.

In Sainte-Martine, hockey-loving producer members converged at the arena where 22 players battled it out for victory, creating an atmosphere of friendly rivalry. The energy of the participants reflected commitment and determination, making this a memorable event for Uniag members in the Sainte-Martine region.

Uniag’s ice hockey game at the St-Isidore Sports Centre in St-Isidore, Ontario, will be remembered for its unprecedented intensity. In a thrilling overtime, the final score of 7-6 surprised many. The most powerful shot of the day, measured at an impressive 146 km/h, was fired by a talented local producer. With 26 players engaged in this clash, every second was intense and every shot added to the atmosphere.

The cooperative’s general manager was pleased with the success of these events, stressing the importance of unity and collaboration in strengthening ties in the region’s farming community.

“We’re proud to see our communities united around their love of ice hockey,” said the General Manager Sylvain Boyer. “These events are a testament to the strength of cooperation and our commitment to members.”

Organizers are already planning to repeat the initiative next year, providing another opportunity for ice hockey fans to come together.
