NAPIERVILLE, QC, July 28, 2026 – Uniag Cooperative announces the acquisition of the Napierville grain centre building, located at 100 Boulevard Industriel, Napierville on land it already owned. The building previously belonged to Sollio Groupe Coopératif and was formerly leased to Ceresco. The transaction, effective July 1, 2026, allows Uniag to consolidate full ownership of the entire site, which offers a grain storage capacity of 8,200 metric tonnes.
In the immediate term, the centre will be used for wheat storage destined for flour mill supply. In addition, thanks to brand-new state-of-the-art grading equipment, Uniag is now offering producers a grain grading service at an applicable rate. Uniag Cooperative also plans to use the facility for corn and soybean storage in the future.
A cornerstone of Uniag’s growth strategy
Beyond the added capacity, this acquisition is part of a forward-looking vision for the cooperative’s future. The Napierville grain centre is a strategic asset on which Uniag intends to build in order to extend its value chain, from crop reception through to higher value-added services for its producer members.
