Napierville, QC December 20, 2023 – The end-of-year festivities took on an exceptional dimension this year with the resounding success of the Holiday Lunches, organized by Uniag Cooperative. Exceeding expectations, over 400 participants converged to celebrate the holidays in a warm and festive atmosphere, making the 2023 edition a record-breaker.
These milestone events took place at four of the cooperative’s member farms: Ferme Soesbergen in Sainte-Agnès-de-Dundee on December 11, Ferme Franord in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield on December 12, Jardins A. Guérin in St-Patrice-de-Sherrington on December 13, and finally at Ferme Delurenic in St-Isidore, Ontario on December 15. This was the third edition of the lunch series in its current format.
Sylvain Boyer, General Manager of Uniag Cooperative, expressed his gratitude: “Our guests bring a unique touch to each lunch,” he said. Their contribution is what really makes the difference in planning such events, and we are deeply grateful. And we can’t overlook the excellent participation of members and employees, who created a vibrant atmosphere throughout the week.” He also stressed the importance of such gatherings in strengthening cooperative ties, and expressed his enthusiasm for the associative events to come in the coming year.
The taste buds of attendees were treated to a selection of confort foods, such as pulled pork sandwiches and beef brisket poutine from the renowned food truck Le Gras Dur.
