On September 19, Ferme Yves Landry in Saint-Cyprien-de-Napierville welcomed nearly 300 agricultural producers and partners to Uniag Cooperative’s 2025 Field Day. This flagship event, held in Montérégie and Ontario, once again confirms Uniag’s role as a catalyst for agricultural knowledge sharing and innovation in field crops.

Two editions, nearly 400 participants

This year, two Field of Expertise Days were held:

  • Casselman (Septembee 8th) : nearly 90 participants from Eastern Ontario.

  • Napierville (September 19th) : approximately 300 producers and partners.

With nearly 400 people in attendance, these meetings confirm the importance of agricultural cooperation and Uniag’s commitment to investing in the vitality of the sector.

“It’s always inspiring to see so many producers come together to share ideas and discuss best practices,” said Sylvain Boyer, General Manager of Uniag Cooperative. “Ontario and Quebec form a dynamic agricultural hub, and Uniag will continue to invest to ensure a strong and lasting presence in the region.”

Conferences adapted to the realities of producers

Participants had access to expert presentations:

  • Pascal and Stéphane Larose (Maizex) – field crop consulting.
  • Jordane Roy-Leblanc (Uniag Cooperative) – grain market trend analysis.
  • Stéphanie Mathieu (MAPAQ) – early detection and weed resistance, topics relevant to vegetable growers and field crop producers.
  • In Ontario, Mike Cowbrough (OMAFRA) led the English-language conference on weed management.

A day of innovation, networking, and fun

The day ended with a complimentary mechoui buffet, in an atmosphere that encouraged conversation. Draws and prizes were also awarded, thanks to the generosity of numerous partners.
