“After two big years of consolidation, La Coop Unifrontières is now ready to start and it is with a record surplus that it continues its history. In addition, an important net worth on a balance sheet of 55 million now puts Unifrontières in a position to seize the best opportunities on the market” expresses Sylvain Brault, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

30% of this amount will be paid in cash and 70% will be paid in Preferred Units. Being only in its second year of operation, there is no doubt that La Coop Unifrontières has the wind in its sails!

“Remember that the first financial year of la Coop Unifrontières was a transitional one. Already in its second year, and thus the first full year of operation, it enjoys excellent financial health. There is a real wind of change in the Organization, especially with major transformation projects to come. However, our co-op’s primary mission is to contribute to the success of its members and to meet their needs in goods and services, and this is what we will continue to do, says Jean-Sébastien LeBlanc, Executive Director.

The meeting was embellished by the presence of two speakers. Mr Pierre-Yves McSween Professor, columnist and chartered professional accountant, made the audience laugh with a presentation from his bestselling book “Do you really need it?”, by exposing an economic perspective on life, love and even death. Mr. Simon Baillargeon, Vice-President of business development of Sollio Agriculture, new appellation of the agricultural Division of La Coop Fédérée, presented a global portrait of La Coop Fédérée from yesterday to today, taking the opportunity to introduce the new brand image of Sollio Agriculture.

At the General Assembly, four directors’ posts expired in 2019. Under the supervision of Mr. Jean-Bernard Van Widen, President of elections, Mr. Daniel Guérin, Jean Bissonnette, Jean-Pierre Lavigne and Éric Gratton were re-elected to their respective positions. Regarding the contest “Fonds coopératif d’aide à la relève agricole” La Coop Unifrontières declared Ms. Lydie Blanchard, from Ferme R & H Blanchard Ltée of Embrun, winner of the 2019 edition.
