Field Days 2022: over 230 people responded to the cooperative’s call!
Napierville, September 30, 2022 – When it comes to seed performance for your field crops, the numbers don’t lie. But there’s nothing more telling than the sight of the field itself. That was the experience of the 230 people who attended one of the five field days recently organized by Sollio & Uniag Cooperative Agriculture.
At each of the days, the producers had the opportunity to exchange with various stakeholders and to learn many practical tips through the various presentations. Mr. Pascal Larose, agr. in charge of agronomy and marketing of seed products, and Mr. Stéphane Larose from Maizex shared their knowledge and passion for genetics with great generosity. During the days in Ontario, the English-speaking customers were not left out thanks to the presence of Mrs. Leigh Hudson from Maizex.
These events were also punctuated by presentations on fertilizers and current market trends in the grain trade.
Corn silage was featured on August 16 at Ferme Brault et Frères in St-Louis-de-Gonzague, Quebec, and then at Ferme Delurenic on August 17 in The Nation, Ontario.
The focus was then on grain corn at Ferme Delurenic and on soybeans at Ferme Geriaume on September 6, in Casselman, Ontario. Grain corn was also featured at Les Cultures Dubuc on September 8 in Beauharnois, Quebec and on September 9 at Ferme M. Landry in Napierville, Quebec.
You can see each of these plots and the varieties found via a virtual map by clicking here.
After so many great meetings and fruitful days, the Sollio & Uniag Agriculture Cooperative consultants will soon be back on the road to perform the official weighing, which will prove once again that investing in genetic research and development with Maizex allows us to offer the best varieties to producers.
The Sollio & Uniag Cooperative Agriculture team, which is already preparing for the next season, wishes everyone a very good harvest! Our consultants are always available and have the tools to help you make the best decisions according to the type of management and soil.
Thank you to the partners who made the field days possible: Desjardins, Farm Credit Canada, Corteva, BASF, FMC, Organic Ocean and Syngenta.
