Propionic acid application: an essential step you can’t skip!

To prevent silage heating, there’s nothing better than applying propionic acid to inhibit the activity of yeasts and molds.

It’s THE most effective product on the market for reducing the activity of these little critters! It provides an immediate effect if the recommended doses are followed.

The products offered by your cooperative are among the most concentrated available on the market. In some cases, the work is so fast that the flow rates of the pumps usually used don’t allow sufficient acid doses per ton to be applied. But those days are over! Here are 2 options for the largest operations:

New FLEX applicator & FLEX-ULTRA : up to 1000 liters/hour, and is also adaptable for compactors.

New fixed liquid applicator for TMR mixers, designed to avoid working with granular products and to ensure a more uniform application in the tmr mixer.

With all these new applicators, there’s no longer any reason not to apply propionic acid to your silage to maximize feed intake and/or animal production.

Have a great summer.
