Uniag Cooperative field plot, held over four separate days across Quebec and Ontario, once again established their relevance by attracting over 300 agricultural producers. These events not only provided practical solutions to current crop challenges but also created a platform for exchange between experts and producers.

High-Quality Content Appreciated by Participants
In St-Isidore, agronomist Gilles Quesnel’s talk on integrated pest management captivated the audience with his innovative solutions for protecting crops. Mr. Quesnel’s methods shed light on more efficient and sustainable practices to combat regional crop pests.
Meanwhile, in Quebec, Stéphanie Mathieu from MAPAQ led a series of allocutions on managing pesticide resistance, a crucial issue for producers. Her presentations in Sainte-Martine, Saint-Valentin, and Saint-Polycarpe sparked great interest. Ms. Mathieu’s advice helped producers rethink their pesticide use while protecting the environment and soil health.
Commitment to Local Purchases and Friendly Atmosphere
In a warm and friendly setting, participants enjoyed meals prepared by Les Grillades à Poudrette, along with local craft beers provided by two cooperative members: Domaine Berthiaume and Brasserie Schoune. This initiative highlighted the importance of supporting local purchases, a key pillar of Uniag Cooperative’s social commitment.
