It is therefore important to be as accurate as possible in evaluating the results when making technical and economic calculations. Sollio Agriculture (formerly La Coop) has been developing numerous calculation tools for several years now, based on research data and the economic situation in dairy production. The objective is to help us help you make the best possible decisions when calculating based on industry needs. The purpose of my article is to describe some calculation tools that are available to help you make decisions.

Our available tools :

Adulteration by water

Ag-Bag

TMR Audit

Foot bath

Organic – 3 groups

Fixed and variable costs

Bunk Silo Density

Transition enclosure

Expansion

Financing

Fresh heifer breeding

Pamitic Fat

Fixed Milk Replacers

Milk Replacer vs Whole Milk

Water line (cleaning)

Milk delivery

Grain corn in silage

Corn Silage Evaluation

Milling measuring Tool

Measuring tool

PeNDF

Milk planning

Portions per Meal

Weight of round bales and silage boxes

Weight of a silage wagon

PMR Daily Portrait

PPM Rumensin

SNF/F ratio

Horizontal silo (bunker capacity)

Vertical Silo capacity

Time budget

Total calf

RVF (Relative Feed Value) of commodities

SILO horizontal and vertical : Who is not familiar with SILO software? In any case, I often use it for inventory planning when the silo is full or during the year to ensure inventories. The vertical SILO software takes into account the dry matter of the silage and the filling level. The horizontal SILO software (bunker) takes into account dry matter, forage input speed, compaction time, weight of machinery used to compact and thickness per layer. In short, it is easy with this software to give you a fairly accurate evaluation of your inventories and, of course, to calculate the daily feedout rate to avoid feed heating losses. We can also calculate your needs and inventories with the BETTER software when it is impossible for you to put in a bunker, but rather in a pile.

AG-BAG : This calculator allows you to evaluate your AG-BAG inventories fairly accurately according to the diameter and length filled.

Bunk silo density : The secret to the success of your silage is of course compaction. The better the silage is compacted, the less air there will be and the better the preservation will be…I hope I’m not teaching you anything? On the other hand, who knows the compaction density of their bunker? We have at our disposal a tool that allows us to check the compaction of your bunker when we are wondering about the preservation of our feed. So, do not hesitate to talk to your consultant about it.

Milk planning : Who does at least one dairy planning per year? I doubt that many of you do not, am I right? Whether it is a milk planning with a lot of precise information or just by calculating the number of cows eligible to milk month after month, it is clear that it gives you a better picture of production over the next five or six months and it helps us, your consultants, to help you make the best decisions for milk production in the coming months.

Milk delivery : Ask your consultant to send you a report of your milk production every other day based on your fat content. It takes a big two minutes to do and it tells you exactly how much milk to send according to your quota, plus additional days if necessary.

DMR Daily portrait : The daily portrait calculates your profit margin per kg of fat that your farm generates for a given time. It takes into account the cost of feeding your lactating cows vs. producing fat, protein, lactose and other solids. In other words, it allows you to calculate your return following the feeding of your cows in lactations to pay the rest of your company’s variable and fixed costs.

TMR Audit : Again this morning, I observed at a customer’s premises that corn silage was poorly mixed with the rest of the TMR ingredients. Do you think that the expected results will be satisfactory? Are you familiar with the definition of TMR? «Homogeneous mixing of forages, concentrates and minerals in specific proportions to achieve an adequate balance and density of nutrients so that they can be served at will» We have a tool to help you check if your mixture is homogeneous.

Expansion : The expansion of farms is exponential and expansion means additional needs for infrastructure, animals, fodder, etc. We have a very effective tool to plan your short, medium and long term needs according to your expansion objectives.

Lacto-Fixe : The Lacto-fixed tool is a calculation that allows you to draw up a chart for feeding your calves according to the number per age group and litres served by each. It gives you the amount of hot, cold water and powder needed to make one litre of reconstituted milk depending on the temperature of the final milk concerned.

Of course, I have only listed some of the tools we have in our possession to help you. Whether it is for financing, calculating your company’s expenses, calculating footbath, cost of breeding fees, or any other need, we have a multitude of tools for making your decisions. Feel free to ask your consultant what’s in his toolbox, you might be surprised!

In 2019, the dairy production sector remains one where the difference between profit and loss can be minimal. You'll want to make sure that you have your focus keywords in there, that it's a nice length, and that people will want to click on it. Best practices suggest keeping your titles between 50 and 65 characters including spaces, though in some cases 60 is the sweetspot. The length is important both for SEO ranking but also how your title will show up in search engines - long titles will be cut off visually and look bad. Consider changing the focus keywords to something unique.";s:9:"more_info";s:1161:" Whilst duplicate content isn't technically penalized it presents three rather niggly issues for search engines:

1. It's unclear which versions to include/exclude from their indexes.
2. They don't know whether to direct the link metrics (trust, authority, anchor text, link equity, etc.) to one page, or keep it separated between multiple versions.
3. The engine is unsure which version to rank for query results.

So whilst there's no direct penalty, if your content isn't unique then search engine algorithms could be filtering out your articles from their results. The easiest way to make sure this doesn't happen is to try and make each of your posts and pages as unique as possible, hence specifying different focus keywords for each article you write.

Note: If you happen to have two pages with the same content, it's important to tell search engines which one to show in search results using the Canonical URL feature. Something, anything, is better than nothing.";s:9:"more_info";s:798:"Content is ultimately the bread and butter of your SEO. Without words, your pages and posts will have a hard time ranking for the keywords you want them to. As a base for any article best practice suggests a minimum of 300 words, with 1000 being a good benchmark and 1600 being the optimal. Numerous studies have uncovered that longer content tends to perform better than shorter content, with pages having 1000 words or more performing best. Whilst optimizing your content for search engines is what we're going for here, a proven bi-product is that high quality long form articles also tend to get shared more on social platforms. With the increasing power of social media as a tool for traffic it's a nice flow on effect of writing those juicy high quality articles your readers are waiting for.";s:10:"status_msg";s:75:"Your article doesn't have any words yet, you might want to add some content";}s:15:"keyword_density";a:5:{s:6:"status";b:0;s:7:"ignored";b:0;s:14:"recommendation";s:196:"Currently you haven't used any keywords in your content. The recommended density is 1-3%. A low keyword density means your content has less chance of ranking highly for your chosen focus keywords.";s:9:"more_info";s:728:"Keyword density is all about making sure your content is populated with enough keywords to give it a better chance of appearing higher in search results. One way of making sure people will be able to find our content is using particular focus keywords, and using them as much as naturally possible in our content. In doing this we are trying to match up the keywords that people are likely to use when searching for this article or page, so try to get into your visitors mind and picture them typing a search into Google. While we recommend aiming for 1-3% density, remember content is king and you don't want your article to end up sounding like a robot. Get creative and utilize the page title, image caption, and subheadings.";s:10:"status_msg";s:33:"You haven't used any keywords yet";}s:11:"links_count";a:5:{s:6:"status";b:0;s:7:"ignored";b:0;s:14:"recommendation";s:202:"Internal links help search engines crawl your website, effectively pointing them to more pages to index on your website. You should consider adding at least one internal link to another related article.";s:9:"more_info";s:1261:" Internal links are important for linking together related content. Search engines will 'crawl' through your website, indexing pages and posts as they go. To help them discover all the juicy content your website has to offer, it's wise to make sure your content has internal links built in for bots to follow and index.

External links don't benefit your SEO by having them in your own content, but you'll want to try and get as many other websites linking to your articles and pages as possible. Search engines treat links to your website as a 'third party vote' in favour of your website - like a vote of confidence. Since they're the hardest form of 'validation' to get (another website has to endorse you!) search engines weight them heavily when considering page rank. In printed texts, a writer usually starts off with some kind of teaser, but there is no time for that if you are writing for the web. You only have seconds to gain your reader’s attention. Make sure the first paragraph tells the main message of your post. That way, you make it easy for your reader to figure out what your post is about. We recommend you have at least one subheading.";s:9:"more_info";s:478:"When trying to rank for certain keywords, those keywords should be found in as many key places as possible. Given that you're writing about the topic it only makes sense that you mention it in at least one of your subheadings.
